Upcoming Meetings

Our next Meeting is to be held on Wednesday 21st March 2012.

This month is the celebration of our 25th year from when we first became an incorporated body.

Tonight we will have Mr Jim Perry come and show off a collection of computers used back in the 1980-90's. Jim will present some of the intricacies of how one had to work hard to manipulate the computer to undertake a chosen task. (Sounds similar to today - but then the process was quite different).  There were things called "peek" and "Poke" and Commodre 64's etc. Should be quite a night.

To enhance the evening we will have a more elaborate supper and members are asked to bring along a plate to share after the meeting.

We look forward to seeing you on the night!

2011 Grants

The Southern Districts Computer Users Club acknowledge the generosity and assistance provided by the Commonwealth Government in granting us sufficient money to purchase new computing equipment. This has been made available through the  Department of Families and Communities - Positive Aging Development Grants for 2010-11.

We  thank the government for this contribution toward the older generation within our community.

Likewise we also thank to our local Council, the Council of the City of Onkaparinga for their support with a further grant to allow us to augment the facilities made available from the Commonwealth Government as above.

We are now able to provide much more flexible teaching and assistance to our members and the wider community through these grants.

Please contact our President Mr Jim Greenfield for more information on how we may be able to assist you in gaining more skills to operate your computer.   (08 8382 4912)
